3.45

什曰：外道字也。其人應物起見，若人問言：「有耶？」答言：「有。」問言：「無耶？」答言：「無也。」肇曰：姓迦旃延，字迦羅鳩馱。其人謂諸法亦有相亦無相。

[Kumāra]jīva says: This is the name of a heterodox master. This man gave rise to views in response to things: if someone asked, 'Does it exist?', he answered, 'It exists.' If someone asked, 'Does it not exist?', he answered, 'It does not exist.' [Seng]zhao says: His clan name was Kaccāyana; his personal name was Pakudha. This man asserted that all dharmas both have characteristics and lack characteristics.
