3.69

肇曰：既為其侶，安得有異？夫以無異故能成其異也。生曰：若受施而使施主得邪見報者，是害其慧命，為內外魔也。順在令彼獲等則生其惠心，必不見與害者殊也。

[Seng]zhao says: Since one is their companion, how could there be any difference? It is precisely by virtue of having no difference that one can accomplish their differentiation. [Dao]sheng says: If receiving giving causes the donor to receive the retribution of false views, this harms their wisdom-life, acting as an internal and external māra. In conforming [to the real], causing them to attain equality gives rise to their mind of generous benefit, and they will surely not see it as distinct from what harms them.
