4.150

生曰：若行上諸行皆使應諸波羅蜜者，無復生死往來也。然有之者，隨應出也。出若為應，豈非道場來耶？推向所明，便知其然矣。

[Dao]sheng says: If one performs the practices above and causes them all to accord with the pāramitās, there is no longer any coming and going in saṃsāra. Yet that they exist is an emergence in response [to beings]. If their emerging is for the sake of response, how could they not come from the bodhimanda? Deducing from what was explained before, one immediately knows this to be so.
