什曰：我學大乘，彼亦如是，是名同學。所習不同，名不同學。處同則樂、處異亦夷，其心平等，無增減也。肇曰：異我自彼，曷為生恚非同學、外道黨也。

[Kumāra]jīva says: If I study the Mahāyāna and the other does likewise, they are called fellow practitioners. When what is practiced differs, they are called not fellow practitioners. Abiding with those of like mind one is joyful; abiding with those who differ one is also at peace; the mind is impartial, neither increasing nor decreasing. [Seng]zhao says: Their difference from me stems from them; why give rise to resentment? Those who are not fellow practitioners are non-Buddhist factions.
