4.24

肇曰：證無住義也。新新生滅、交臂已謝，豈待白首然後為變乎？生曰：引佛語證不住也。即時者，不待變也。

[Seng]zhao says: This corroborates the meaning of non-abiding. Anew in each moment there is arising and ceasing; in the time it takes to brush past one's arms, it has already withered away—does one wait for white hair before there is change? [Dao]sheng says: He cites the Buddha's words to corroborate non-abiding. 'At this very moment' means not waiting for change.
