什曰：令其為佛道故以起禪，不為樂及受福。復次梵本中，菩提相亦名寂滅相，當為此相起禪也。肇曰：菩提之相無定無亂，以此起禪，禪亦同相。

[Kumāra]jīva says: This causes them to give rise to dhyāna for the sake of the buddha path, not for the sake of pleasure or receiving blessings. Furthermore, in the Sanskrit text, the mark of bodhi is also called the mark of quiescent extinction; one should give rise to dhyāna for the sake of this mark. [Seng]zhao says: The mark of bodhi is neither fixed nor scattered; if one gives rise to dhyāna through this, dhyāna also shares the same mark.
