4.30

肇曰：上推有生無記，此推無生亦無記也。無生即七住無相真正法位也。此位為理，無記無成。彌勒於何受一生記乎？生曰：并質之也。

[Seng]zhao says: Above, he examined that where there is birth, there is no prophecy; here, he examines that where there is non-arising, there is also no prophecy. Non-arising is precisely the true and correct position of dharmas, which is markless, of the seventh stage. Since this position is the ultimate principle, there is neither prophecy nor realization. In what could Maitreya receive the prophecy of a single birth? [Dao]sheng says: He questions both together.
