什曰：謂修禪定道品法也。當為兼解眾縛起修行地，不應自為而修行也。肇曰：己行不修，安能解彼矣？

[Kumāra]jīva says: This refers to cultivating the dharmas of dhyāna-concentration and the aids to the path. One should give rise to grounds of practice for the sake of also unbinding the multitude; one should not cultivate practice merely for oneself. [Seng]zhao says: If one's own practice is not cultivated, how could one liberate others?
