肇曰：因背涅槃故名吾我，以捨吾我故名涅槃。二法相假故有名生，本其自性性無決定，故二俱空也矣。生曰：無定爾也。

[Seng]zhao says: Because of turning away from nirvāṇa, it is named 'self'; because of relinquishing the self, it is named 'nirvāṇa'. The two dharmas depend on each other, so their names arise. Tracing back their intrinsic nature, their nature has no determination; therefore, both are empty. [Dao]sheng says: There is no determinacy.
