5.248

[Kumāra]jīva says: "If one can eliminate affection and views, one immediately discards fetters and karma, receiving manifest birth through the Dharma with mastery and without obstruction." [Seng]zhao says: "Whatever has a view will certainly have an obstruction; whatever has affection will certainly have hatred. As this is a path that has limits, how could it bring about illimitable efficacy? If one can be free from this, then manifest birth of the dharmakāya will be nowhere absent; though saṃsāra is endless, one does not perceive it as far away. How could there be the veiling of affection and views, or the weariness of toil?" [Dao]sheng says: "One is born in place after place because of being without weariness; how could one be veiled by affection and views?"
