什曰：貪著禪味有二障，障涅槃及菩薩道也。肇曰：三界受生、二乘取證，皆由著禪味所以為縛。生曰：貪報行禪，則有味於行矣。既於行有味，報必惑焉。夫惑報者，縛在生矣。

[Kumāra]jīva says: "Craving and clinging to the taste of dhyāna has two obstacles: it obstructs nirvāṇa and the bodhisattva path." [Seng]zhao says: "Taking rebirth in the three realms and the two vehicles' realizing verification both arise from clinging to the taste of dhyāna, which is why it is bondage." [Dao]sheng says: "Practicing dhyāna out of craving for its retribution means taking relish in the practice. Once there is relish in the practice, one will surely be confused about retribution. One who is confused about retribution is bound to birth."
