什曰：雖現學神足，實已神通自在也。肇曰：雖同小乘行如意足，而久得大乘自在神通。如意足，神通之因也。

[Kumāra]jīva says: Although outwardly appearing to learn the bases of supernatural power, in reality he has already attained mastery of spiritual penetrations. [Seng]zhao says: Although sharing with the Hinayāna the practice of the bases of supernatural power, he has long since attained the Mahāyāna's sovereign spiritual penetrations. The bases of supernatural power are the cause of spiritual penetrations.
