注維摩詰經 6.158

6.158

肇曰：生死之畏，二乘所難。自不依如來功德力者，孰能處之？生曰？夫以等入生死者，必欲濟生死也。苟以濟而入，終成如來果矣。若以利重推之，故不應難于小苦。又乃有此冥報，生死豈能加諸苦？

[Seng]zhao says: The fears of saṃsāra are what the two vehicles find difficult. If one does not rely on the power of the Tathāgata's merits oneself, who could dwell in it? [Dao]sheng says: One who enters saṃsāra with impartiality must wish to rescue [beings from] saṃsāra. If one enters in order to rescue them, one will ultimately achieve the Tathāgata's fruit. If one considers the great benefit, one naturally should not find small sufferings difficult. Furthermore, with this unseen reward, how could saṃsāra inflict any suffering on him?
