6.244

生曰：夫解脫者，我解於縛也。不偏在我，故不內也。亦不偏在縛，故不外也。會成解脫，又不兩在。

[Dao]sheng says: As for liberation, it is 'I am liberated from bondage.' It does not reside solely in the self, so it is not internal; nor does it reside solely in bondage, so it is not external. When they converge to form liberation, it also does not reside in both.
