舍利弗！其有釋梵四天王、諸天龍鬼神等入此室者，聞斯上人講說正法，皆樂佛功德之香，發心而出。舍利弗！吾止此室十有二年，初不聞說聲聞、辟支佛法，但聞菩薩大慈大悲不可思議諸佛之法。

"Śāriputra, whenever Śakra, Brahmā, the Four Heavenly Kings, gods, nāgas, ghosts, spirits, and the like enter this room and hear this superior person discourse on the true Dharma, they all delight in the fragrance of the Buddha's virtues, generate the aspiration [for awakening], and depart. Śāriputra, I have stayed in this room for twelve years, and have never heard the Dharma of śrāvakas and pratyekabuddhas spoken, but only heard the bodhisattvas' great kindness, great compassion, and the inconceivable Dharma of all buddhas.
