什曰：不直說無生而說生者，欲據有生相結而理無生滅者也。

[Kumāra]jīva says: Rather than stating non-arising directly, she speaks of birth because she wishes to rely on the mark of birth while concluding that in principle there is neither arising nor ceasing.
