7.152

什曰：深心信樂，故能修善。處善之先，猶鬘之在首。又云深心發明眾善，亦如華鬘飾形服也。肇曰：深心，法身之上飾，猶華鬘之在首。生曰：華鬘者既為首飾，而束髮使不亂也。深心是檢行之初，故以諭焉。

[Kumāra]jīva says: Because the profound mind has faithful joy, it can cultivate good. Being at the forefront of good is like a garland being upon the head. It is also said that the profound mind elucidates the various goods, just as a flower garland embellishes the body and clothing.
[Seng]zhao says: The profound mind is the supreme ornament of the dharmakāya, just as a flower garland is upon the head.
[Dao]sheng says: A flower garland serves as a head ornament and binds the hair so it is not disheveled. The profound mind is the beginning of regulating conduct, hence it is used as a metaphor.
