7.174

什曰：煩惱有二種斷，一遮斷、二永斷。摧滅，遮斷也。下降伏四魔，永斷也。上說資養四體，體既平健則廣興事業。自此已下是說其事業。生曰：自此已下明其有所云為。

[Kumāra]jīva says: Severing afflictions has two kinds: first, severing by obstruction; second, permanent severing. 'Crushing and destroying' is severing by obstruction. Below, 'subduing the four māras' is permanent severing. Above, nourishing the four limbs was explained; once the body is sound and healthy, one broadly undertakes deeds. From here below, their deeds are explained.
