什曰:不言無而言少者,明身為病本,本宜棄也。肇曰:將示有身不得無患,故致問如來猶云少病少惱。

[Kumāra]jīva says: He does not say 'without illness' but 'illnesses few' to clarify that the body is the root of illness, and the root ought properly to be abandoned. [Seng]zhao says: Because he intends to show that having a body means one cannot be without afflictions, in conveying inquiries to the Tathāgata he still says 'illnesses few and vexations few.'
