什曰：出家離欲及禪定智慧，離諸妄想，悉名遠離樂。假以求道，非所貴也。肇曰：獨善之道何足貴乎？

[Kumāra]jīva says: Going forth from the household, detachment from desire, as well as dhyāna-concentration and wisdom free from all conceptual discrimination—all these are called the joy of detachment. Though employed provisionally to seek the Way, they are not what is valued [as the ultimate]. [Seng]zhao says: How could the path of personal perfection alone be worthy of esteem?
