[Seng]zhao says: From here on down, all are contemplations and practices on the unconditioned. Contemplating the unconditioned, one must behold the joy of tranquil peace; yet being able not to realize nirvāṇa and permanently remaining in saṃsāra is called 'not abiding in the unconditioned'. Emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness are practiced in common by the three vehicles, yet in producing contemplation they differ. The emptiness-contemplation of the two vehicles lies solely in non-self; the emptiness-contemplation of the Mahāyāna is absent from no dharma. Because it is absent from no dharma, the dharma of emptiness is also empty; since the dharma of emptiness is empty, one can avoid realizing emptiness.
