9.242
[Seng]zhao says: All dharmas are formed by causes and conditions, being false and devoid of a fundamental basis; what could be real? What could be a master? Although they know this to be so, because their original vows are not yet fulfilled, they do not refrain from cultivating merit, meditation, and wisdom on the grounds that they are false. [Dao]sheng says: Not abiding in the unconditioned means fathoming the principle and being about to embrace entering saṃsāra. Taking the fulfillment of vows as the ultimate, it is therefore clarified at the end.
