生曰：順三脫門則到彼岸矣。若有到則不到也，無到不到然後為到耳。此岸者，生死也。彼岸者，涅槃也。中流者，結使也。
[Dao]sheng says: Following the three gates of liberation, one arrives at the other shore. If there is an arriving, then one has not arrived; only when there is neither arriving nor not arriving is it arrival. 'This shore' is saṃsāra. 'The other shore' is nirvāṇa. 'Midstream' is the afflictions.
