肇曰：法身無為，絕於施造。孰能作之令起、生之使滅乎？生曰：既作起後身，則有生滅者矣。

[Seng]zhao says: The dharmakāya is unconditioned, utterly cut off from construction and fabrication. Who could produce it to make it arise, or give birth to it to make it cease? [Dao]sheng says: Since one produces and gives rise to a future body, there is that which has birth and cessation.
