肇曰：手得經卷，雖未誦持，如人已得寶藏未得用耳。上直以聞通況，今別結其德品其升降也。

[Seng]zhao says: Obtaining the scroll of the sūtra in hand, even if one has not yet recited and upheld it, is like a person who has already obtained a treasure-trove but has not yet been able to use it. Above, the metaphor was applied generally just to hearing; now he separately concludes its virtues and grades their ascent and descent.
