[Kumāra]jīva says: The inconceivable liberation is of this kind. Because there is no impediment in phenomena, it is called "unimpeded"; because it is unimpeded, there is liberation. Whether in one phenomenon or up to hundreds of thousands, in one land or up to lands as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, they penetrate thoroughly with sovereignty and without impediment; yet they cannot yet be universally unimpeded like a buddha. [Seng]zhao says: This liberation is attained at the seventh stage. Attaining this liberation, they penetrate all dharmas without impediment, and therefore their minds constantly abide in it.
