[Seng]zhao says: He approves of his intention to protect and uphold it. The inconceivable path of bodhi of the three times is fully set forth in this sūtra; if one receives, upholds, protects, and nurtures it, one is making offerings to the buddhas of the three times, and therefore [the Buddha says,] 'I rejoice in your joy.' [Dao]sheng says: Offerings made with food and clothing preserve the four limbs and sustain them. If one receives, upholds, reads, and recites this sūtra, one not only preserves its principle intact, but also causes the Buddha's dharmakāya to increase daily; does this not also carry the meaning of making offerings?
