[Kumāra]jīva says: Vimalakīrti brought the Abhirati world into this realm, and along with the inconceivable events mentioned above, among all that has ever been seen in the past, there has never been a marvel like this. What is clarified concerning the true mark in the *Pañcaviṃśati* and elsewhere is expansive, diffuse, and difficult to trace; this sūtra briefly summarizes the essential doctrines of the many sūtras, making them clear, concise, and easy to understand; hence he praises it as unprecedented. It is also said that its accord with oneself is wondrous; hence he praises it as unprecedented. [Seng]zhao says: As the exposition of the sūtra is about to conclude, Śāriputra has already celebrated its beauty above, and now Śakra rejoices again in what he has encountered and offers praise. Although the words of this sūtra are concise and brief, their meaning encompasses the myriad scriptures; without exceeding a single day in their seats, they have fully witnessed sovereign transformations. The profound and distant words of the Mahāyāna and the resonant power of spiritual penetrations—in what was encountered at one time, the principle was completely exhausted; moreover, its accord with oneself is wondrous, and hence he praises it as unprecedented.
