[Seng]zhao says: A realm without distraction where one cultivates the mind and advances in the Way is simply the place of enlightenment. If one can establish the mind as the master and myriad practices as the place, cultivating the Way naturally within one's own square inch, that is the true place of enlightenment. Why abandon the quiet realm nearby and seek an empty plot of land afar? The straight mind means the inner mind is truly straight and the outside is free from falsehood; this is the fundamental basis of myriad practices and the level ground for advancing in the Way. From here below, various practices are fully listed, all of which are quiet plots for cultivating the mind and pure arenas for expanding the Way. [Dao]sheng says: One who harbors the absence of falsehood in mind will certainly attain buddhahood.
