[Dao]sheng says: "Anuttara means supreme. Samyak-saṃ means right and universal. Bodhi is a word in that language; there is no equivalent noun here. In truth, it is the ultimate realization, the wisdom that occupies the end. However, there are three grades: śrāvakas, pratyekabuddhas, and buddhas. For the two vehicles, it is merely bodhi within their respective paths, not what is properly called bodhi; only the Buddha's bodhi is supreme, right, and universal bodhi. 'One lifetime' means there are no longer immeasurable births, but only one remaining lifetime; this phrase contains two senses."
