[Kumāra]jīva says: The Buddha's dharmas are of two kinds: the first is mundane, and the second is supramundane. The supramundane ones are called dharmas that aid the buddha path. [Seng]zhao says: "All wisdom" is deeds of knowledge; "all wholesome dharmas" is deeds of virtue. The dharmas that aid the buddha path are the various outflow-free dharmas of the Mahāyāna. The two deeds of knowledge and virtue are not accomplished by what has outflows; their accomplishment necessarily relies on the dharmas that aid the buddha path. [Dao]sheng says: If one fully takes all wisdom and all wholesome dharmas as the dharmas that aid the buddha path, the assembly of the Dharma gift will certainly be achieved.
