[Kumāra]jīva says: He either causes them to eliminate illnesses or attain ascension to transcendence, thereby converting them and causing them to enter the correct path. In foreign lands there are wondrous medicinal herbs, some resembling human forms, or resembling the forms of elephants and horses. Those resembling elephants and horses—if someone rides them, they go straight into the sky. Or merely seeing or smelling this medicine, all illnesses immediately disappear.
