[Kumāra]jīva says: From the forbearance of the truth of suffering up to an arhat, and from the non-arising of dharmas up to a buddha, all are called the 'fixed stage of determination'. Speaking of entering through the unconditioned means that by apprehending characteristics and views, one enters the fixed stage and attains realization. Furthermore, speaking of 'perceiving the unconditioned', the unconditioned is the truth of cessation. The truth of cessation is the Dharma of their realization, definitive and distinct; while perceiving the first two truths, though there is no regression, it is not yet definitive and distinct. This refers to the place where they definitively attain realization.
