[Seng]zhao says: If one abandons the conditioned, one is cut off from the multitudes of living beings; how could one dispense medicine accordingly? [Dao]sheng says: Inverting the previous means returning to enter saṃsāra, which will surely enable saving all people. Therefore there are the following four clauses. Gathering the Dharma-medicine means causing oneself to be fully provided with the principles of all dharmas, which conveys the sense of merit. Dispensing medicine accordingly means knowing what governs [the illness] and dispensing according to the sickness, which conveys the sense of wisdom.
