From here below is the second [part], clarifying that the other bodhisattvas transmit and propagate it in other directions. "Thereupon, all..." adduces the transmitters. "Joined their palms and addressed..." and so on adduces the words of transmission. "After the Tathāgata's nirvāṇa" is the time of transmission. "In the lands of the ten directions" is the place of transmission. "Widely proclaim and propagate" is the activity of transmission. "Widely proclaim and propagate anuttarabodhi" clarifies transmitting the Dharma of realization, causing others to study it for themselves. "And shall further instruct and guide all Dharma-preachers so that they obtain this sūtra" clarifies transmitting the Dharma of teaching, causing others to transform people. From here below is the third [part], the Four Heavenly Kings protecting the transmission. It clarifies that toward those who read, recite, and preach the sūtra scroll, in order to listen to the Dharma, they will go to their dwelling place and protect those persons, [keeping watch over] a hundred yojanas around so that none may gain an advantage [over them].
