體不孤致，求之有方；涉行修因，然後致果，故用佛國因果為入理綱宗，提綱目動，故次「明宗」也。

The substance is not attained in isolation; there is a method for seeking it. One engages in practice to cultivate the causes, and only then does one attain the result. Therefore, using the cause and effect of the buddha-lands as the guiding principle for entering the principle—when the guiding net-cord is lifted, the net's meshes open—one next 'clarifies the central theme.'
