1.15

〈觀眾生品〉云「佛為增上慢人，說離婬、怒、癡，名為解脫耳。若無增上慢人，佛說婬、怒、癡性，即是解脫」，婬、怒、癡性，即不思議真性解脫為體也。

The 'Chapter on Contemplating Sentient Beings' states: 'The Buddha said to those with overweening pride that abandoning lust, anger, and delusion is called liberation. If there were no persons with overweening pride, the Buddha would say that the very nature of lust, anger, and delusion is liberation.' The nature of lust, anger, and delusion is the inconceivable true nature of liberation as the substance.
