一、明室外，用四番悉檀起四種佛國，即是〈佛國品〉也。亦得兼起通、別二序，用前兩番悉檀，起〈方便品〉；次三番悉檀，起〈弟子品〉；次後一番悉檀，起〈菩薩品〉。

First, clarifying outside the chamber: using four rounds of siddhāntas to give rise to four kinds of buddha-lands, which is the 'Buddha-Land Chapter.' It may also concurrently give rise to the general and particular introductions. Using the preceding two rounds of siddhāntas, it gives rise to the 'Skillful Means Chapter'; the next three rounds of siddhāntas give rise to the 'Disciples Chapter'; the subsequent final round of siddhāntas gives rise to the 'Bodhisattvas Chapter.'
