室外彈訶，室內攝受，〈不思議品〉云「菩薩住不思議，能種種示現神力自在，如龍象蹴蹋，非驢所堪」，故知此人、法權實折伏、攝受，即經之用也。

Reproving outside the room and embracing inside the room—the 'Inconceivable Chapter' states: 'A bodhisattva abiding in the inconceivable can manifest various masteries of spiritual power, like a dragon-elephant trampling, which an ass cannot endure.' Thus we know that this person and Dharma subduing and embracing through the provisional and ultimate is the sūtra's function.
