此經理致深遠，言旨淵玄。若但依文帖釋，恐止事數而已。一教宗極，終自難量，猶須略忖幽微，顯不思議旨趣。今輒於文前，撰五重玄義：

The principles of this sūtra are profound and far-reaching, and the import of its words is abstruse and mysterious. If one merely explains it by adhering closely to the text, one fears it would amount to nothing more than enumerating matters. The ultimate aim of this single teaching is fundamentally difficult to fathom; one still needs to reflect briefly upon its subtle profundities to reveal its inconceivable purport. Now, prior to the text, I shall compile the fivefold profound meaning:
