就通釋五重，略為六意：一，通標五義名；二，辨次第；三，引證；四，明總別；五，約觀心；六，對四悉檀。

Regarding the general explanation of the fivefold [meaning], there are briefly six points: first, generally presenting the names of the five meanings; second, discerning the sequence; third, citing textual evidence; fourth, clarifying the general and the specific; fifth, with reference to contemplating the mind; sixth, matching with the four siddhāntas.
