問曰：自有眾生值佛，隨聞一法即得道，或隨修一法門即入道，《法華經》三界火宅，諸子門外方索車，何畢悉具此法乃成乘也？

Question: There are beings who encounter a Buddha and attain the path upon hearing a single teaching, or enter the path upon cultivating a single dharma-door; in the Lotus Sūtra, in the burning house of the three realms, the children demand the carts only outside the gate—why must they completely possess these [ten] dharmas before forming the vehicle?
