First, indicating the names: 1. the ground of dry wisdom; 2. the ground of nature; 3. the ground of the eight persons; 4. the ground of vision; 5. the ground of attenuation; 6. the ground of freedom from desire; 7. the ground of what has been done; 8. the ground of the pratyekabuddha; 9. the ground of the bodhisattva; 10. the ground of the Buddha. Therefore the *Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra* states, 'From the initial ground of dry wisdom up to the ground of the bodhisattva, the bodhisattva practices all and learns all, but does not realize realization'; on the ground of the Buddha he both learns and realizes—hence they are called the shared stages of the three vehicles.
