3.194

一、十信位者，十信名義，具在大本。今明別教菩薩信因緣佛性、常住三寶，知無量、無作四諦，起慈悲四弘誓願，天魔、外道、二乘所不能阻，名為信心。若望《涅槃經》明五行，即是戒聖行、定聖行。修生滅四諦慧聖行，伏界內見惑，即是十信心位也。

First, the stage of the ten faiths: The names and meanings of the ten faiths are fully set out in the Grand Text. Here we explain that the bodhisattva of the distinctive teaching has faith in conditioned buddha-nature and the eternally abiding Three Jewels, knows the immeasurable and non-arising four truths, and gives rise to the four universal vows of compassion; neither heavenly Māra, non-Buddhists, nor the two vehicles can obstruct them—this is called the mind of faith. Relative to the five practices explained in the Nirvāṇa Sūtra, these are the noble practice of morality and the noble practice of concentration. Cultivating the noble practice of wisdom of the four truths of arising and ceasing to subdue the delusions of view within the realm is precisely the stage of the ten minds of faith.
