五、明十地位者，即是聖種性位。從入初地，即發真，明見佛性平等法界，自體住持，出生諸佛功德，堪能荷負一切眾生，故名為地。若望《大涅槃經》，應是分證無作四諦之理，得二十五三昧，名諸三昧王，五行具足，次第成十功德、入十地，多恐意在此也。今明此十地菩薩：

Fifth, clarifying the stage of the ten grounds: this is the lineage of noble ones. From entering the first ground, one gives rise to the real, clearly sees the buddha-nature and the equal realm of reality, abides in and upholds its own essence, generates the merits of all buddhas, and is capable of bearing all sentient beings; hence it is called a "ground." If viewed in light of the Mahāparinirvāṇa Sūtra, it corresponds to partially realizing the principle of the unconditioned four truths, obtaining the twenty-five samādhis called the king of samādhis, fully perfecting the five practices, sequentially fulfilling the ten merits, and entering the ten grounds; the intent is largely here.
