第一、約四諦明所詮者，即為三意：一，明所詮四諦理；二，明能詮教；三，明約經論。

First, clarifying that which is expressed in reference to the four truths has three meanings: first, clarifying the principle of the four truths that is expressed; second, clarifying the teaching that expresses [it]; third, clarifying [them] in reference to sūtras and treatises.
