4.3

第一、簡別圓兩教明位不同者，圓教既詮圓理，略明圓義有八，異於八別，已如前說；今但約斷無明、判位高下不同也。

First, regarding differentiating the difference in the explanation of stages between the distinctive and perfect teachings: since the perfect teaching expounds the perfect principle, briefly explaining the perfect meaning as having eight aspects that differ from the eight distinctive aspects, as has already been stated above; now we merely determine the difference in the heights of stages based on the severing of ignorance.
