二、明用三藏教位格別教位者，三藏明一生補處淨、無垢位，格別教，與鐵輪十信第十願心齊；佛地，但與別教初地齊也。此乃正意，傍論類通教可知也。

Second, clarifying the grading of the stages of the distinctive teaching using the stages of the Tripiṭaka teaching: the pure, stainless stage of a successor in one lifetime explained in the Tripiṭaka, when graded against the distinctive teaching, is equal to the iron-wheel tenth stage of aspiration in the ten faiths; its Buddha ground is only equal to the initial ground of the distinctive teaching. This is the primary intent; secondary considerations can be known by analogy with the shared teaching.
