答曰：別義經論，有時作此說。圓通了義之教，般若、涅槃，並通因果，故《智度論》云：「若如法觀佛，般若與涅槃，是三則一相，其實無有異。」又，涅槃三德，不縱不橫，豈得般若不至果耶！
Answer: Sūtras and treatises of differentiated meaning sometimes make this statement. In the fully penetrating and definitive teaching, both prajñā and nirvāṇa apply to cause and fruition. Therefore the Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa states: 'If one contemplates the Buddha in accordance with the Dharma, prajñā and nirvāṇa, these three are of a single mark, and in reality are not different.' Furthermore, the three virtues of nirvāṇa are neither vertical nor horizontal; how could prajñā not reach the fruition?
