6.135

佛法不思議，唯教相難解。
二乘及菩薩，尚所不能測；
何況諸凡夫，而欲判此事？
譬如生盲人，分別日輪相，
欲判虛空界，一切諸色法，
而言了達者，畢竟無是事。
是故說法者，各生慚愧心，
自責無明闇，捨戲論諍競。

The Buddha's Dharma is inconceivable; / only the characteristics of the teachings are hard to comprehend. / Even the two vehicles and the bodhisattvas / are still unable to fathom them; / how much less could ordinary persons / hope to judge these matters? / It is like a person blind from birth / discriminating the appearance of the solar orb, / or wishing to judge all forms / throughout the realm of empty space, / and yet claiming to understand them thoroughly— / in the end, no such thing is possible. / Therefore, those who expound the Dharma / should each give rise to a sense of shame and conscience, / reprimand their own darkness of ignorance, / and abandon frivolous dispute and contention.
